DETROIT — A class action lawsuit against General Motors and Aerotek Inc. was filed in early 2016 citing allegations that both companies failed to pay call center employees for a significant portion of their work each day.

Red Robin Lawsuit Alleges Forced Tipping Pools

DETROIT — in 2016, a class action lawsuit on behalf of Red Robin hourly servers was filed alleging that tipped workers were required to take part in a tipping pool with non-tipped employees. These allegations include a complaint that servers were forced to share 1% of their gross sales with non-tipped employees at the end of shifts.

Firefighters Settle Overtime Claim For $1.5 Million

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — The firefighters claimed they were not paid for all of the overtime they were entitled to in violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). In the settlement agreement, the city’s firefighters will share in the $1.5 million award.
