Yes, a licensed practical nurse (LPN) should get paid overtime pay for more than 40 hour work week. Under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), nurses are generally entitled to receive overtime pay. Overtime is any work that is performed outside of 40 hours within seven consecutive days.
