May-Beck Unpaid Overtime Lawsuit For Misclassifying Workers

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — On June 18, 2013, attorneys filed a collective/class action lawsuit on behalf of their clients under the Fair Labor Standard Act (FLSA) against May-Beck Corporation.  Plaintiffs’ complaint alleges that May-Beck Corporation intentionally misclassified its customer service agents as independent contractors in order to evade the wage and overtime requirements under the FLSA and North Carolina law. Employers often attempt to misclassify an employee’s work title or job description in order to avoid pay the legally required overtime pay.

The lawsuit is currently pending in the U.S. District Court, Western District of North Carolina and the attorneys are currently interviewing customer service agents across the country.   If you or someone you know was misclassified by May-Beck or has a claim for unpaid overtime wages, you should call (855) 754-2795 or complete the Free Unpaid Overtime Case Review form on this page.  Our team of overtime pay lawyers will evaluate your situation to determine if you can file a claim in this lawsuit.  Call today as there are strict deadlines.
