Healthcare Recruiters Sue Maxim Staffing For Unpaid Overtime

LOS ANGELES — Healthcare Recruiters filed an unpaid overtime class action lawsuit against Maxim Staffing Solutions, Inc. The overtime wage lawsuit was filed by Healthcare Recruiters and/or Staffing recruiters who were not paid overtime wages for time spent working beyond 40 hours per week. The current case was filed in the State of California.

The Healthcare Recruiter class action lawsuit alleges that Maxim Staffing did not pay overtime wages to salaried workers.  Under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), there are still many salaried employees who are entitled to receive overtime pay for working more than 40 hours a week. Although many salaried workers may not be entitled to overtime pay, other salaried employees are required to be paid overtime wages..

Many employers unlawfully misclassify the job title or position of an employee to avoid paying overtime.  This is illegal and in violation of federal laws.  When this occurs, the underpaid employee can file a lawsuit or join a class action lawsuit to recover unpaid past wages.  The lawsuits also seek payment of attorney’s fees and other damages.

In the Maxim lawsuit, Healthcare Recruiters are seeking unpaid overtime pay for time beyond 40 hours a week.  This includes when they were required to be “on call” and while working from home.  Many employees were required to attend health clinics and flu clinics and were not paid overtime.

The current Maxim Healthcare unpaid overtime class action lawsuit is seeking to represent all current and former salaried workers of Maxim Healthcare.  If you or someone you know worked for Maxim Healthcare and was not paid required overtime pay, you should call our unpaid overtime lawyers today at (855) 754-2795 for a free overtime lawsuit case review.
